Privacy Policy

Who we are

Our website address is: https://cssdigitalocean.com.
We provide educational resources, CSS/PMS/SPSC exam preparation materials, blogs, notifications, and subscription services.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address, and browser user agent string to help detect spam.

  • An anonymized string (hash) created from your email may be provided to the Gravatar service to display profile pictures. See Gravatar’s privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

  • After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible publicly alongside your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract location data from such images.

Cookies

We use cookies to improve user experience and website performance.

  • If you leave a comment, your name, email, and website may be saved in cookies for convenience (so you don’t have to fill them in again). These last for one year.

  • When you log in, temporary cookies are set to determine if your browser accepts cookies. Login cookies last for two days; “Remember Me” keeps you logged in for two weeks. Logout deletes login cookies.

  • If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved, expiring after one day.

Google AdSense & Advertising Cookies

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this or other websites.

  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve personalized ads to users.

  • You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

  • Alternatively, you may opt out of third-party vendor cookies for interest-based advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor has visited the other site.
These websites may collect data, use cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor interaction with embedded content.

Who we share your data with

  • If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

  • For advertising and analytics, anonymized data may be shared with trusted partners such as Google AdSense and analytics providers, under strict confidentiality agreements.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
